IpSwing is a new festival of swing, jazz, soul, blues and big band music and dancing, held in Ipswich, Suffolk. The stage is set for this inaugural vintage event. A summer weekend of live music is focussed on Lindy hop, Jazz and Soul, with inclusive food and accommodation under canvas.
All profits will be shared between RAF Benevolent Fund and Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue.
The Spitfire Sisters is an internationally acclaimed vintage-inspired band with three-part vocal harmony at its core. The Sisters originally specialised in the repertoire of the 1940s singing hits from the Andrews and Boswell sisters. But over the years they have broadened their horizons and they now perform an eclectic mix of songs including tunes from their own album ‘Put your Phone Away’, classic repertoire from the 1940s and modern songs with a vintage twist.
The Sisters play saxophones and flutes and with their their seven-piece backing group they are guaranteed to get the Festival off to a full throttle flying start – chocks away!
